CONNECTICUT The multistate 12 02 non-certified terrorism exclusion endorsements and manual supplement pages described in Bulletin 03-0117 have now been approved in the state of Connecticut. The AAIS web site posting located at http://www.aaisonline.com/terrorism/StateAction.html has been updated accordingly. The non-certified terrorism
exclusion endorsement and rule filings submitted by AAIS in early 2003
were formally approved by the Connecticut Insurance Department on February
10, 2004. As the Department did not require the effective dates that were
originally requested to be advanced, companies may proceed with
implementation of the endorsements and supplement and any corresponding
company action that may be required, effective
immediately.

Non-Certified Endorsements
Endorsements and Manual Rules (All programs except
Umbrellas) Companies
that have granted AAIS filing authority for forms, endorsements, and/or
rules can adopt the non-certified terrorism materials described in
Reference Bulletin 03-0117 without notifying the insurance department.
Companies that choose not to adopt, or that choose to deviate from, the
AAIS filed endorsements or supplement pages must notify the Insurance
Department in writing. Each company that wishes to adopt these endorsements must do so by establishing an effective date and notifying the Insurance Department in writing. The effective date that is selected cannot be prior to April 1, 2003. Connecticut does not require rate, rule, or form filings for non-filed Inland Marine Guide classes. As such, companies can begin using the non-certified exclusion endorsements and manual supplement applicable to the filed Commercial Inland Marine classes effective immediately. The non-certified terrorism filings are still pending for AAIS Commercial programs Other Than Umbrellas in the state of Hawaii, and for Umbrella programs only in the states of Hawaii and Arkansas. A copy of each
non-certified endorsement referenced on Page 1 of this bulletin is
available electronically on the AAIS open web site, as an attachment
to Bulletin 02-0550, at http://www.aaisonline.com/terrorism/bulletins/02-0550.html. The non-certified terrorism
exclusion endorsement numbers that apply in Connecticut, and a description
of any company action required to adopt these endorsements, are posted at
the AAIS open Web site at http://www.aaisonline.com/terrorism/StateAction.html Endorsements
