VIRGINIA SPECIAL EDITION OF CL 0605 APPROVED FOR UMBRELLA PROGRAMS A special 03 03 edition of CL 0605 has been filed and approved in Virginia for use with the Commercial Umbrella and Farm Umbrella programs. A copy of the new endorsement edition is attached to this bulletin. Due to the fact
that umbrella policies are not subject to standard fire policy statutes, the Bureau of
Insurance (BOI) objected to the conditional reference to Standard Fire Policy statutes
that was printed beneath the premium field in the 02
03 edition of CL 0605. As a result, we
developed and filed an alternate version of CL 0605
in which no mention of Standard Fire Policy statutes is made.
The Virginia Bureau of Insurance is requiring
that any Commercial or Farm Umbrella policies that have been issued with the CL 0605 02 03 endorsement edition be amended, as
of the effective date of the policy, to reflect the new 03 03 endorsement edition. The forms and endorsements filed for use in
this state have been released to CCH Insurance Services Inc. (CCH), the print vendor for AAIS forms and
