VIRGINIA 
SPECIAL EDITIONS OF CERTIFIED TERRORISM UMBRELLA ENDORSEMENTS AVAILABLE
Reference Bulletin 02-0550, 03-0093

Copies of the special 03 03 editions of the Commercial and Farm Umbrella certified terrorism endorsements that have been filed for use in the state of Virginia are attached to this Bulletin.

BACKGROUND

In Reference Bulletin 03-0093, availability of the 03 03 certified endorsement editions was announced for all Commercial Lines programs except Commercial and Farm Umbrella. As the Bureau had not yet formally authorized the use of the endorsements for either umbrella program at the time when Bulletin 03-0093 was distributed, affiliates were advised that a subsequent bulletin would be released once official acknowledgment of the 03 03 umbrella endorsement editions had been received. Now that such information has been received, this bulletin is being issued to announce the availability of the 03 03 Commercial and Farm Umbrella certified terrorism endorsements in the state of Virginia.

ENDORSEMENTS AND FILING NUMBERS

The Commercial and Farm Umbrella endorsements listed below have been approved by the Virginia Bureau of Insurance effective January 3, 2003. Refer to the following filing numbers in all correspondence directed to the insurance department.

The Virginia Bureau of Insurance has specified that any policy issued with a 12 02 edition of a certified terrorism endorsement must be amended to include the 03 03 edition counterpart. The effective date of the change must coincide with the policy effective date.

Commercial and Farm Umbrella Endorsements

Umbrella endorsements are filed on behalf of affiliated companies in Virginia.

Companies that have granted AAIS filing authority for forms and endorsements can adopt the endorsements without notifying the insurance department.

The forms and endorsements approved for use in this state have been released to Uniform Information Services, Inc. (UIS), the print vendor for AAIS forms and endorsements.
