THE BUSINESS EXCLUSION -- A SOURCE OF CONTROVERSY
An article that examines the business exclusion in the AAIS
homeowners and farmowners policies is available on AAISdirect for
those affiliates that are subscribers. Log on to AAISdirect and
click on the Manuals tab. Select either farmowners or homeowners
for the Type/Line. Then select Education/Reference for State.
Click on search. Select 0 for Edition, then click on search.
Select the Business Pursuits Exclusion section under Reference

AAIS/ALLIANCE UNDERWRITING CONFERENCE
The 2003 AAIS/Alliance of American Insurers Underwriting
Conference will be held Sept. 14 - 16 at the Loews Portofino
Hotel, Orlando. The theme of the conference is "Homeland
Security -- Protecting Our Future." AAIS staff members Debi
Summerlin and Sue Luecke will be conducting seminars at the
conference. Mark your calendar now. Additional information to
follow.
STATE-SPECIFIC TERRORISM INFORMATION POSTED
Information regarding the AAIS certified filings has been posted
for all 52 jurisdictions. Non-certified filings have been
submitted in 48 jurisdictions and approved in 42. State-specific
filing information related to compliance with the federal
terrorism reinsurance program is posted at: http://www.AAISonline.com/terror/StateAction.htm
