Inland Marine Filing Project

During 2003, AAIS has been revising the forms and endorsements for the nonfiled inland marine classes that are published in the Inland Marine Guide. Beginning in Jan., 2004, AAIS will begin the process of filing the revised forms and endorsements in all of the states that require form filings for the traditional nonfiled inland marine classes. The proposed effective date for the form filings will be July 1, 2004.

On Dec. 11, 2003 AAIS will also be conducting a Web based seminar that will provide additional information on the inland marine filing project.

Electronic Data Processing Form Revision Filed

AAIS has submitted advisory filings of the revised Electronic Data Processing form IM 7215 09 03. California proposed advisory effective date Apr. 1, 2004. Nebraska and Oregon proposed advisory effective date Feb. 1, 2004. Companies affiliated for the Inland Marine Guide in these states should not take any independent filing action at this time.
